Corinth Basket: Temple E, Southeast, context 81
Collection:   Corinth
Type:   Basket
Name:   Temple E, Southeast, context 81
Area:   Temple E, Southeast
Title:   Lens of fill abutting Wall 21 below Threshold 22
Category:   Deposit
Notebook:   1108
Context:   81
Date:   2014/04/14
Stratum:   Inclusions: 40% total; ceramic (tiles); bone; cement; stone (pebbles).
Description:   The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   We decided to remove a lens of fill abutting the threshold which has more inclusions of large tile and ceramic than the surrounding area. The tiles are all lying horiziontall, mainly at the surface of the deposit. We hope in removing this lends to have fully revealed a deposit that seems to run all along the W wall of the churhc. The deposit also has a high concentration of stone (pebble to cobble, angular and irregular + sub-angular).
