Description:   Wall plaster with painted surface (Th.0.004) on thick mudbrick/pise substratum. Brushstrokes and toolmarks discernible in plaster surface. Jagged groove from compass clearly visible on surface.
Decoration:   Wallplaster is painted with a white ground, over which is painted a large red circle (within the limits of the compass groove). 2 applied yellow bands radiate from red circle over the white ground.
Material:   Plaster layer over mudbrick substratum, with frequent medium to large black and brown pebble inclusions.
Condition:   Fragment. Two joined frgts., of painted wall plaster over mudbrick/pise substrate. Heavy fire damage and discoloration.
Period:   Middle Roman (2/2 2nd c-4th c AD)
