Description: | Marble sima with acanthus scroll in high relief, consisting of an unbroken, fluted stalk springing out to the right (possibly from a missing spout) and two tenderils, which curl down and out to the right and left from the stalk. Both tendrils have a V-shaped section and are of nearly the same size. Similar decoration as terracotta FS-988 (Bookidis & Stroud 1997, Corinth 18.3, cat. 73). | |
