Decoration: | Medallion: Trace of small radiating palmettes, 2 concentric circles. Wall: 11 rows of nodules (pine cone bowl). Above 2 plain fillets frame rim pattern of simplified ivy to lt. Groove just below lip (missing). (B, compare C-1926-32). Blob of clay over moulded design, poss. when bowl removed from mould (C). Traces of black glaze. | |
Material: | Overfired clay ranges in color from a greenish white to pink. Slight traces of mica; many small oval pits and light brown inclusions. | |
