Description:   Slighly raised disk base, underside concave; globular body.
Decoration:   Interior plain. Outer edge of base glazed, dot in two circles on underside; scraped line above base, black band, thin reserved band, black glazed line above forming ground line for figured zone on body. Exterior decorated in red-figured technique. Piece A: At far left, tip of unidentified object on ground line; to r., frontal stnding figure preservedfrom ca. waist down. Wears himation which falls in mass of opened stacked folds down right side, with black border and dots over rest. Himation spreads out to proper left as if handing from extended arm. Right arm down and out from side, holding staff which rests on ground. Behind is a second staff coming at angle from left of figure. At feet, two halters. To r., nude male sitting on rock, preserved from waist down, missing left knee. Seated frontally with legs bend and spread apart, feet crossed so that right heel in profile behind frontal left foot. Bit of right forearm visible at top, bent in front of chest, from it hangs rope-like object in added pruple. To right , two feet of a third figure, nude male, left foot frontal, right in profile to proper right. Behind this left foot is extednded leg (? Toes at tip?) of another figure. To right of this, bent leg, knee on ground, directed r. By the Epidromos painter.
Material:   Pinkish buff fine clay, good black glaze, added purple.
Condition:   Fragment. Mended from 3 frgts., non-joining with C-1931-77B.
Dimensions Preserved:   H. 0.030, D. base 0.0295 m.
Period:   Archaic (7th-6th c.)
