Description:   Cylindrical shape, thick-walled, with start of flare at lower break for foot or moulding (?), corresponding with evidence of floor on interior. Shape unclear. Possibly a stand?
Decoration:   Exterior possibly finely slipped with pale greenish white slip (near 5Y 7/3); decoration in black: at bottom two broad black circumference bands framing metope-frieze-like panel with alternating black and reserved rectangles. Above this, animal frieze: lt. to rt., two avians or possibly sirens, directed rt.; of 1st half lower half of body, tail, legs; of second, chest with probable long locks of hair, legs; 3rd avian at rt. with extended wings and spread tail with incised detail. No filling ornament. Early Corinthian?
Material:   Fine gray-green clay with 2% or less tiny black inclusions, voids. Clay fired pale grayish pink at core.
Munsell Color:   2.5Y 7/4
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving half circumference of cylinder with part of floor; glaze badly worn.
