Description:   Plate with shallow body, slight curve.Similar to C-1936-1165 (Morgan 1942, Corinth 11, cat. 68).
Decoration:   Yellow glaze, white slip. Interior with incised oval figure filled with parallel vertical and rounded lines. Exterior with brown streaks and patches of green.
Material:   Coarse clay with rare subrounded small to medium gray and red inclusions, and frequent subrounded platy and tabular voids.
Munsell Color:   10 YR 7/6 (yellow)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving small part of plate.
Period:   Middle Byzantine (802-1058 AD)
