Description:   Cup with echinoid body, turns inward to vertical rim with rounded vertical lip. Loop handle with single groove down back, attached below rim. Shape and handle similar to C-1936-236 (Morgan 1942, Corinth 11, cat. 229). In original inventory notebook, "Turkish (?)".
Decoration:   Thin dark green glaze over all of interior, and part of exterior rim. Very small patch of glaze on handle. Rest unglazed.
Material:   Reddish clay, buff on exterior, with common small to large gray and red inclusions. Abundant small to large, subrounded spherical and platy voids.
Munsell Color:   5YR 7/6 (reddish yellow)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving small part of body, approx. 1/4 of rim, and one complete handle.
Period:   Late Byzantine (1059-1210 AD)
