Description:   Pyxis lid with low conical profile, tapering from round rim to base of tall knob. Knob stem cylindrical with slight bulge at base, flaring knob, flat on top. On underside contracting flange set in 00.018 m. from rim. Hollow underside continues into stem of knob.
Decoration:   Decorated with concentric rings of color, from rim in: thin brown band, broad reserved band in which thin brown stripe; broad purple band, narrower reserved band with thin brown stripe, narrow purple band between brown lines at base of knob; knob brown except for top which is reserved with 2 brown concentric circles; underside reserved.
Material:   Fine clay fired buff at surfaces, salmon-pink at core.
Munsell Color:   Near 10YR 7/6
Condition:   Complete profile. Two joining frgts., complete profile; complete except for 1/4 rim; knob edge chipped. Paint worn.
