Description:   Pitcher with low-sloping shoulder, short and narrow neck, widening to tall vertical rim with flaring lip, pinched on one side for spout. Vertical strap handle attached to lower part of rim. Similar to C-1936-628 (Morgan 1942, Corinth 11, cat. 56).
Decoration:   Yellow-brown glaze on exterior, glaze on interior rim. Ridge in center of neck.
Material:   Fine reddish-yellow clay, fired buff at surface, with few small and medium subrounded spherical and tabular gray inclusions, and frequent rounded spherical voids.
Munsell Color:   5YR 7/6 (reddish yellow)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving neck to lip, and upper handle. Traces of glaze on interior rim.
Period:   Middle Byzantine (802-1058 AD)
