Description:   Juglet with flat bottom, ovoid body with max diam. below median, tapering to straight narrow neck, trefoil or pinched in lip for spout (?). Start of vertical oval handle on lower body, just above max diam. Similar to C-1936-529 (Morgan 1942, Corinth 11, cat. 53).
Decoration:   Thin red slip, and reddish-brown glaze on exterior, patches of glaze on bottom and interior neck.
Material:   Fine light red clay with rare small subrounded spherical and platy white inclusions, and rare small rounded spherical and angular platy voids.
Munsell Color:   2.5 YR 6/8 (light red)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving bottom and complete body to neck, start of lip (?) and handle.
Period:   Middle Byzantine (802-1058 AD)
