Description:   Cup with flaring convex body, vertical rim, rounded lip, vertical strap loop handle from lip to upper body. Similar to C-1936-803.
Decoration:   Brown glaze all over. Exterior with 3 grooved circumference lines on upper body.
Material:   Reddish-yellow clay fired gray, with few small to large subrounded spherical and tabular white and red inclusions, and few small rounded spherical and angular platy voids.
Munsell Color:   Near 5YR 6/8 (reddish yellow)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving small part of body and rim, handle.
Period:   Middle Byzantine (802-1058 AD)
Chronology:   Late 10th-11th c. CE, based on comparanda
