Description:   Bowl with low flaring ridged foot, round resting surface and flat undersurface. Similar to C-1937-144 (Morgan 1942, Corinth 11, cat. 147).
Decoration:   Light brown glaze on interior, exterior unglazed. Impressed formalized bird, head bent down on net-like ground.
Material:   Fine pink clay with rare small and medium subrounded and angular red and gray inclusions, and rare rounded spherical and subrounded platy voids.
Munsell Color:   7.5 YR 7/4 (pink)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving foot and floor.
Period:   Late Byzantine (1059-1210 AD)
