Description:   Plate with very low fine ring foot, narrow resting surface, interior, sloping in to slightly raised undersurface. Body nearly horizontal, vertical rim with round lip.
Decoration:   White slip over all. Incised on floor without frame: grotesque warrior with reserved pointed head, incised body, running lt., holding pointed oval shield with hatching, pointed spear. Incised hatching in field below spear; floral sprays in field. Yellow glaze over all, becoming clear on exterior of body, foot.
Material:   Fine red clay with scattered fine white inclusions, voids (largely covered)
Munsell Color:   Between 5YR 5/6 and 2.5YR 5/6
Condition:   Complete profile. Five joining frgts., complete profile; 4/5 foot; missing center of floor, complete perimeter, c. 1/2 rim. Glaze worn on lip.
