Description:   Chafing dish with straight flaring upper body, inset straight flaring rim H00.024, inward and outward thickened rim, with raised lip around outer circumference, groove in top of rim. Top of vertical strap handle attached to top of body. Deep bowl on interior.
Decoration:   Triangular cut-outs on upper part of stand; incised diagonal and horizontal lines on solid parts, broad incised zigzag band on exterior of rim; brown paint on upper part of exterior and rim, and interior of bowl. Clear glaze over paint, becoming green just below lip on interior and at base of rim.
Material:   Moderately fine clay fired buff at surfaces, red at core, with frequent fine red, black, white inclusions.
Munsell Color:   10YR 7/4 to near 2.5YR 6/6
Condition:   Fragment. Nine joining frgts., top of stand, rim, ca. 1/3 circumference; ca. 1/4 bowl interior; one upper attachment of handle.
