Description:   Plate or hot dish with flat bottom, flaring convex body. Similar to C-1934-1552.
Decoration:   Dark brown glaze on interior. Incised circle in center, interior of circle raised.
Material:   Coarse red clay, blackened on interior surface, with common small to very large rounded spherical and tabular white inclusions. Frequent small to large angular platy, subrounded spherical and tabular voids.
Munsell Color:   2.5YR 5/8 (red)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving approx. 2/3 bottom, and start of body.
Period:   Middle Byzantine (802-1058 AD)
