Description:   Rather low and small kotyle, with convex sides, small ring foot.
Decoration:   Silhouette style. Handle zone divided into triglyphs (five vertical wavy lines) and plain metopes. Below handles: purple band with double line above and below. Animal frieze: deer to r., dee to r., horse, bird, horse with rider, horse, all to r. The frieze is bounded below by three lines; widely-spaced rays at base. Outer and interior edges of rim foot painted; resting surface reserved; undersurface with single concentric line. Interior fully glazed except for two thin reserved bands, one at lip, the other below. Handles reserved with horizontal stripe. Antecedent of the Silhouette Kotyle Painter (Corinth 15.3, sub no. 1285, Middle Corinthian Period)
Material:   Fine buff clay, fired reddish on one side. Rare spherical voids. Black paint fired orange brown on one side.
Munsell Color:   from 10 YR 8/4 (very pale brown) to 5 Y 7/6 (reddish yellow)
Condition:   Missing parts. Mended form many fragments. Half of rim and side, both handles missing. Restored.
