Description:   Cyma kantharos with stem foot, flat resting surface and conical undersurface, with molded exterior in two degrees; high, wide lower with straight sloping side ending in beveled edge, upper a high, medium thin ridge with a square profile, articulated from lower by a groove with pointed profile. High conical stem connected to foot by curve. Tall body with convex lower and slightly concave upper, flaring out to an everted tapered lip. Two vertical strap handles with rectangular thumb rest attaching to just below lip and upper body.
Decoration:   West Slope style with a horizontal groove step between the two handle attachment levels, and six thin horizontal groove bands between step and lip. Black glaze all over. Necklace on both sides with added white paint.
Material:   Fine pink clay with rare fine to medium spherical fub-rounded black, rare fine white and sparkling inclusions.
Munsell Color:   7.5YR 8/4 (pink)
Condition:   Complete profile. Numerous joining frgts., preserving foot, stem, 2/3 body, 1/2 lip, top 1/3 of one handle. Black glaze badly worn.
