Description:   Articulated kantharos with flaring ring base. Resting surface bevelled to concave interior with nipple in center. Exterior of foot squared. Biconical body with rounded carination set at approx. two-thirds the height of the body. Lower walls echinoid. Upper walls inclined with compound curve moving from convex to concave. Lip straight, rounded bevelled in. Two vertical strap spur handles with rectangular strap thumbrests attaching just below lip and at mid upper body.
Decoration:   Black glaze over all. Groove just below carination around two-thirds of body. One scraped groove at bottom of handle zone and one scraped groove just below lip both interrupted by handles. Sides A & B: necklace with string, ties and pendants in added paint.
Material:   Fine pinkish white clay with few small to medium black inclusions and rare small white inclusions.
Munsell Color:   7.5 YR 8/2 pinkish white
Condition:   Complete profile. Seven frgts., preserving all of foot except a chip, four-fifths of body, all of lip except few chips, both handles. Surface has black glaze partly worn on exterior, mostly worn on interior. Negative imprint of added paint of necklace. RIP. Fingerprints.
