Description:   Shoulder lekythos with flaring disk foot, center undersurface hallowed; attenuated ovoid body rising from narrow stem, articulated sloping shoulder curving into tall, cylindrical neck; flaring rim with quarter-round, flat lip; vertical strap handle attached to base of shoulder and neck.
Decoration:   Three seated women. Left-hand and center women hold disks (mirrors?) and face right; large basket on ground between them. The right-hand woman is also seated to right, but she turns back and stretches her arms out to left. All three women wear chitons and himatia, hair tied up in krobyloi. In the field, vine branches with fruit. On the shoulder, tongues and chain of lotus buds. Red: fillets and dots on himatia, line on outside edge of top of mouth, two lines on black bands below scene, line at upper edge of black lower body, and line on outside edge of foot. White: fruit, female flesh, and dots on himatia. Class of Athens 581, i.
Material:   Fine reddish yellow clay.

Condition:   Complete or intact. Almost complete; handle restored in plaster, pieces missing from lip, handle, body, and base.
