Description:   Cyma kantharos with stem foot, flat resting surface and convex undersurface, with molded exterior in two degrees; lower is wide with a horizontal top and straight sloping side ending in a beveled edge, upper is a thick ridge with square profile articulated from lower by an angle. Medium-high conical stem connected to foot by curve. Body is tall with lower convex and upper straight in profile, narrowing slightly to a small everted tapered lip. Two vertical strap handles with rectangular thumb rest attaching to just below lip and upper body.
Decoration:   West Slope style with two horizontal groove bands, one just below lip and another at lower handle attachment level. Incised wavy line between bands, possibly representing a running ivy. Black glaze all over.
Material:   Fine very pale clay with rare fine to small black and rare fine sparkling inclusions. Rare fine voids.
Munsell Color:   10YR 8/3 (very pale brown)
Condition:   Complete profile. Numerous joining frgts., preserving most of foot, stem, most of body, 2/3 lip, both handles. Black glaze worn.
