Description:   Articulated kantharos with flaring ring foot. Resting surface bevelled to convex underside with nipple in center. Exterior of foot has convex profile. Biconical body with angular carination set at approx. two-thirds the height of the body. Lower walls convex. Upper walls slightly convex, inclined. Lip straight, tapered. Two vertical strap spur handles with rectangular strap thumbrests attaching just below lip and at mid upper body.
Decoration:   Black glaze over all. Incised line in lower third of lower body. One scraped groove at top of handle zone and one scraped groove just below lip both interrupted by handles. Sides A & B: scraped groove of necklace.
Material:   Fine pinkish white clay with dew fine to small black inclusions, rare red inclusions and rare voids.
Munsell Color:   7.5YR 8/2 pinkish white
Condition:   Complete profile. Ten frgts., preserving all of foot except several small chips, three-fourths of body, half of lip, and one handle. Surface has black glaze completely worn and traces of differential firing. RIP one handle and body fragment. Fingerprint on thumbrest.
