Description:   Articulated kantharos with flaring ring foot. Flat resting surface. Flat underside. Exterior of foot has squared profile. Biconical body with rounded carination set at approx. two-thirds the height of the body. Lower walls are echinoid. Upper walls are inclined and slightly convex. Lip is inturned and tapered. Two vertical strap spur handles with rectangular strap thumbrests attaching just below lip and at mid upper body.
Decoration:   Red glaze over all. One scraped groove at bottom handle zone and one miltos covered scraped groove just below lip both interrupted by handles. Sides A & B: necklace with incised string, ties and pendants in middle of handle zone. String touches upper scraped groove at both ends. Incisions are miltos covered. Three horizontal pre-firing incisions (cut into by incised necklace) in middle of handle zone.
Material:   Fine pink clay with few fine to small black inclusions and rare medium to large red, white, and black inclusions.
Munsell Color:   7.5YR 8/3 pink
Condition:   Complete profile. Several joining fragements preserve three-fourths of foot, one-third of body, one-third of lip, & one handle. Surface has red glaze partly worn with firing clouds & traces of differential firing. RIP. Traces of miltos in scraped grooves & incised lines.
