Description:   Articulated kantharos with flaring ring foot. Bevelled resting surface. Convex underside with nipple in center. Exterior of foot has convex profile. Biconical almost globular body with rounded carination set at approx. two-thirds the height of the body. Lower walls echinoid. Upper walls inclined and convex. Rounded lip outturned. Two vertical strap spur handles with rectangular strap thumbrests attaching just below lip and at mid upper body.
Decoration:   Black glaze over all. Two grooves just below lip. Sides A & B: running ivy with tendrils, incised.
Material:   fine pink clay with fine to small black inclusions, rare sparkling inclusions, and rare large black inclusions
Munsell Color:   5YR 8/3 pink
Condition:   Complete profile. Several joining frgts., preserving all of foot, most of body, most of lip and both handles except one thumbrest. RIP. Surface has black glaze slightly worn. Traces of differential firing.
