Description:   Cyma kantharos with stem foot, flat resting surface and conical undersurface, with molded exterior in two degrees; narrow lower with straight sloping side ending in a high beveled edge, articulated from low thick upper beveled ring. Cylindrical stem articulated from foot by an angle. Medium-wide body with large, convex lower and upper almost straight in profile, narrowing slightly towards small, everted tapered lip. Two vertical strap handles with rectangular thumb rest attaching to just below lip and upper body.
Decoration:   West Slope style with two sets of horizontal groove bands, one at lower, and a set of four steps just below upper handle attachment levels. Black glaze all over. Added white paint of a necklace on both faces between grooves.
Material:   Fine very pale brown clay with arare small spherical rounded black and rare fine sparkling inclusions. Few fine spherical voids.
Munsell Color:   10YR 8/4 (very pale brown)
Condition:   Complete profile. Numerous joining frgts., preserving all of foot, stem, most of body, both handles except for 1 fragment of 1 handle, and 2/3 lip. Black gl. Very worn and added white paint preserved in parts.
