Description:   Cyma kantharos with stem foot, flat resting surface and conical undersurface, with molded exterior in two degrees; low lower with straight sloping side ending in beveled edge, articulated from low pointed upper ring. Conical stem articulated from foot by an angle. Medium-wide body with large, convex lower and upper almost straight in profile, narrowing slightly towards small, everted tapered lip. Two vertical strap handles with rectangular thumb rest attaching to just below lip and upper body.
Decoration:   West Slope style with two horizontal grooved bands, one at lower handle attachment level and another a step below upper handle attachment level. Black glaze all over. Added white paint of a necklace preserved on each face.
Material:   Fine very pale brown clay with few small to medium spherical angular red, few fine black, rare fine sparkling inclusions. Rare fine voids.
Munsell Color:   10YR 8/4 (very pale brown)
Condition:   Complete profile. Numerous joining frgts., preserving all of foot, stem, 3/4 body, all of lip except for some chips, both handles with the middle 1/4 missing. Black glaze and added white preserved in parts.
