Description:   Kantharos. incised design below lip: Heavy groove at level of lower attachment of handle. Small satyr masks on top of handles.
(redescribed-typed on back of card))Articulated kantharos with stepped ring foot with scraped groove at transition. Flat resting surface narrow nippled undersurface. Short narrow stem, ovoid lower body, rising to max. diam., turning with broad groove to mark articulation with tall upper body, which tapers straight to plain lip. Two vertical strap handles on upper body, upper portion horizontal with small masks-?- as spurs at outer edge. Dull brown to tan glaze over all. For insized decoration, cf. front.
Decoration:   Incised design lower lip: Heavy groove at level of lower attachment of handle. Small satyr masks on top of handles.
Material:   dark buff clay, dull brownish black glaze
Condition:   Complete profile. Fragments of handle, lip, and body missing.
