Description:   Cyma kantharos with stem foot, flat resting surface and convex undersurface, with molded exterior in two degrees; wide lower with convex sloping side ending in beveled edge, upper a thin ridge with square profile articulated from lower by a thin, deep groove. Medium-high conical stem connected to foot by a curve. Tall body with convex lower and slightly concave upper, flaring out to an everted tapered lip. A vertical strap handle with rectangular thumb rest attaching to just below lip and upper body.
Decoration:   West Slope style with a horizontal groove band between the two handle attachment levels. Black glaze all over. Necklace on both sides with added white paint.
Material:   Fine yellow clay with rare fine white and red, fine to medium spherical sub-rounded black inclusions.
Munsell Color:   10YR 8/6 (yellow)
Condition:   Complete profile. Numerous joining frgts., preserving foot except for a chip, stem, 3/4 body, 1/2 lip, 1 handle. Black glaze and white paint well preserved.
