Description:   Articulated kantharos with flaring ring foot. Flat resting surface, concave underside with nipple in center. Exterior of foot has profile wheel grooved in two degrees. Biconical body with angular carintaion set at approx. two-thirds the height of the body. Lower walls convex. Upper walls are inclined and have a profile with a compound curve moving from concave to convex. Lip is tapered, straight. Two vertical strap spur handles attaching just below lip and at mid upper body.
Decoration:   Black glaze over all. Groove on underside of foot. Two wide scraped grooves at bottom of handle zone, one interrupted by handles. Two wide scraped grooves just below lip.
Material:   Fine pale yellow clay with few fine to small black inclusions, rare fine sparling inclusions, and rare large red and black inclusions.
Munsell Color:   2.5 Y 8/3 pale yellow
Condition:   Complete profile. Numerous joining frgts., preserve all of foot except for several fragments, half of body, one-fourth of lip, and a small part of the bottom part of each handle. Surface has black glaze mostly worn. RIP lip fragment and several body fragments.
