Description:   Amphora with rounded shoulder (and probably ovoid body), vertical, squared rim, and attachment for vertical, round or oval handle; upper shoulder and neck/rim are melded on from a separate piece of clay
Decoration:   Pronounced ribbing on body up to upper shoulder, pale yellow ( 2.5Y 8/3) slip on exterior, continuing onto upper part of interior surface while changing color to pink (7.5YR 8/3)
Writing:   graffito. Monogram of two letters, one above the other, scratched into upper shoulder: DP, bottom of Delta and top of Pi overlap
Material:   Light reddish brown clay displaying fairly smooth breaks; sandy in texture, with rare very large gray and tan, sub-rounded spherical inclusions, few small to medium black and white inclusions, and few medium, tabular voids
Munsell Color:   5YR 6/4 (light reddish brown)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving a large part of the body and around 40% of the rim, including a break where one handle was attached
