Description:   Floor and lip fragments of very shallow bowl cup with straight flaring walls and rounded lip. Stump of handle on exterior.
Decoration:   Black glaze underneath. The tondo extends nearly to lip, is bordered by a band of stopped meanders. Within this, part of a woman standing in three-quarter view to right, looking back to left to judge from the position of the hair. The woman wears a peplos decorated on the yoke with a reversed wave pattern. Her right hand, of which the fingers remain, was raised. Preliminary sketch. Fine relief contour for the left arm of the woman and the contour of the peplos. Dilute glaze for the ends of the woman's hair. Woman's head is in profile to left and hair is in a knot style.
Material:   Fine reddish yellow clay.
Munsell Color:   5YR 6/6 (reddish yellow)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., mended from five joining pieces, preserving section of lip.
