Description:   Corinthian red-figured vase with pronounced convex curve. Pelike?
Decoration:   Exterior decoration: head and torso of female at right. Torso with right arm, hips; frontal, head in profile to l. Features summarily rendered with straight brow line, open triangle for eye with dot, heavy rounded chin, flat band around neck decorated with white dots. Wears peplos(?) pinned at shoulders, tied at waist. Folds of garment rendered by fine glaze lines, arcs for breasts, vertical folds descending from waist. Right leg possibly raised as if moving to l. Carelessly drawn right arm, extended to l., holding square basket decorated with rows of Z-pattern in black. Three white dots projecting from top of basket. White on arm. Possible white dot on front of forehead. No relief contour lines. Interior either unglazed or washed with dilute glaze.
Material:   Fine buff Corinthian clay, miltos.
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving upper body with curve of shoulder; broken all around.
