Description:   Upper portion of leg of 4-legged so-called rigual vessel in black burnished ware. Flaring conical profile; section flaring from circular (at "calf") to ovoid at top.
Decoration:   Front, side faces highly burnished by vertical strokes to a pearly lustrous black; rear less finely burnished. At upper rear, trace of articulating shallow groove at junction with body and possible trace crusted red paint therin. Decorated front: 6 incised stripes, roughtly horizontal with ends curving up, edged top and bottom by shallow jabbed impressions. Late Neolithic, an early phase
cf. C-75-228, possibly from same vessel.
Material:   Semi-fine fabric, many dark and light inclusions, slightly micaceous; fired dull reddish-brown through core to thin blackish-grey surface layers.
Condition:   Fragment. Mended from 2 joining sherds, broken top, bottom surface moderately worn and abraided.
