Description:   Duck askos with oval body and tail that connects to the body with smooth curves and curves up to a rounded point. Cf. C-1960-68, C-1934-1645 (Corinth VII.iii nos. 776-777).
Decoration:   Dark grayish brown glaze all over exterior with incised decoration on one side of body beneath the glaze, decoration is separated into a series of concentric triangles by incised lines, from bottom to top: wave pattern; ivy garland; wave pattern. Along the spine of duck, and over its tail and down toward its back side is a herringbone pattern. Cf. C-1960-68, C-1934-1645 (Corinth VII.iii nos. 776-777).
Material:   Dark grayish brown clay fired purple at core with few medium rounded lime inclusions, few medium subrounded dark red inclusions, and few small rounded voids.
Munsell Color:   2.5YR 5/2 (weak red)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving tail and small portion of body.
