Description:   Frying pan with flat base, straight flaring walls, vertical rounded lip, cone-shaped hollow handmade handle ending in a sharply inturned edge, attached to lip at 45 degree angle.
Decoration:   Interior painted with yellow slip on red wash and thin green overglaze: yellow distributed in rounded splotches on floor and body. Exterior and handle unglazed.
Material:   Coarse red clay with frequent spherical rounded black and white stone inclusions.
Munsell Color:   Clay: 2.5YR 5/8 (red), Slip: 2.5Y 8/4 (pale yellow)
Condition:   Complete profile. Three joining fragments preserving the handle and ca. 1/4 of the body and base. Left in lot: 1 frgt of base in Lot 2001-15 (NB 931 B60); 1 frgt of base in Lot 2005-01 (NB 969 B36). Glaze well-preserved.
