Description:   Jug with flat string-cut base, cylindrical body rising up to trefoil rim with squared lip. Vertical handle, oval in section, attached to upper body and pushed in to lower body. Wheel-ridged body .
Decoration:   White slip over all vase up to H. 0.048 from base, where it has dribbled down in places. Thick dark yellow glaze, with patches of brown glaze, on outer upper body to lip inside, dripping down at least in one spot. Smudges of glaze on handle. Double incised line just below lip.
Material:   Medium fine, hard, light reddish brown clay. 5 % white (0.25-1.5 mm) rounded, spherical; 3 % black (0.25-1.5 mm) angular, spherical; 1% pale yellow (0.5-1.5 mm) angular, spherical inclusions. Few, regular, smooth voids. Smooth, conchoidal break.

Condition:   Complete profile. Numerous joining frgts preserve complete base, 90% of body, half rim, complete handle.
