Decoration: | White slip over all vase up to H. 0.048 from base, where it has dribbled down in places. Thick dark yellow glaze, with patches of brown glaze, on outer upper body to lip inside, dripping down at least in one spot. Smudges of glaze on handle. Double incised line just below lip. | |
Material: | Medium fine, hard, light reddish brown clay. 5 % white (0.25-1.5 mm) rounded, spherical; 3 % black (0.25-1.5 mm) angular, spherical; 1% pale yellow (0.5-1.5 mm) angular, spherical inclusions. Few, regular, smooth voids. Smooth, conchoidal break. | |
