Description:   Bowl with thick ring foot concave in the undersurface, hemispherical body with carination in the upper side, vertical rim and rounded lip. Incised line immediately underneath the lip on exterior. No surface treatment in half of body and on foot outside the bowl where there is rough surface. Similar to C-1936-1174, C-1986-41, and C-1994-32.
Decoration:   On interior: yellow to brown thick glossy glaze over all and over the lip, a spiral in the central medallion and four concentric ridges in elevation, slip background with drips on exterior. One incised line underneath the lip outside. Similar to C-1936-1174; C-1986-41 (Sanders 1987, Hesperia 56, p.166), and C-1994-32.
Material:   Medium reddish clay, with medium to very large few rounded white and gray inclusions. Frequent medium to very large spherical and tabular rounded voids.
Munsell Color:   5YR 6/6 (reddish yellow)
Condition:   Complete profile. Three pieces from 485, rest from 497. Numerous joining frgts., preserving all of foot , 4/5 of body and ca. 3/4 of rim and lip.
