Description:   Vertical oval strap handle attached to neck of vessel; rectangular stamp at top of handle near neck. Fabric similar to C-1976-196.
Writing:   stamp. Rectangular stamp at top of handle, double-sided axe, handle of axe with broad base and narrows towards head, end in point above axe blades. Similar to Agora object SS-6819 (Bon and Bon 1957, Les Timbres Amphoriques de Thasos, no. 1920, p. 452).
Material:   Coarse sandy light reddish brown clay with frequent fine spherical rounded white inclusions, few medium spherical angular white inclusions, frequent fine silver sparkling inclusions, rare medium gold sparkling inclusions, and rare platy angular voids.
Munsell Color:   Surface: 10YR 7/4 (very pale brown); Core: 5YR 6/4 (light reddish brown)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving top of handle attaching to neck. Handle broken at beginning of vertical curve.
