Description:   Corinthian A amphora handle, oval in section and slightly pinched at top forming slight spine. See McPhee and Pemberton 2012, Corinth 7.6, pp.48-49. Similar to C-1971-604 (McPhee and Pemberton 2012, Corinth 7.6, cat. I-5).
Decoration:   Weak red surface color only on handle and at base of handle.
Writing:   stamp. Seven-petal palmette incuse stamp at base of handle. Similar to Koehler Type XV except here base of stamp not flat, petals narrower.
Material:   Very coarse weak red clay fired reddish gray at core with abundant large to very large gray, black, and white spherical angular inclusions.
Munsell Color:   Surface: 10R 5/2 (weak red); Core: 10R 5/1 (reddish gray)
Condition:   Fragment. Three joining frgts., preserving handle with one root; broken other end.
