Description:   Deep Bowl. Low ring base. Convex body straightens to small outward flaring rim. Two round horizontal handles attach 1/3 of way down body. FS 284; MDP Group A.
Decoration:   Exterior has slipped and polished surface with four painted horizontal bands: one at base, two at mid-body, one thick band at rim. In decorative zone between handles below rim is a running spiral (FM 46), one side has three spirals, the other four. Each spiral makes no more than five revolutions, on the side with three spirals, the spirals are larger and have solid centers; on the side with four spirals, the spirals are more spidery and do not have solid centers. On both sides the running sprial ends with a long curving line that terminates in the rim band. Each handle has three splashes. Interior is painted monochrome red.
Material:   Very fine and hard pink buff clay
Munsell Color:   Surface 7.5 YR 7/6 (reddish yellow), Core 5 YR 6.5/6 (reddish yellow), Paint 10 R 4/8 (red) to 10 R 3/1 (dark reddish grey)
Condition:   Complete profile. 20 joining fragments preserve all of foot, 95% of body, 95% of rim, both handles
