Description:   Sima with high fascia, outset cyma reversa, above which crowning moulding of uncertain profile. Upper surface trimmed down slightly for front 00.03 m., deeply cut setting line 00.045 m. from front face.
Decoration:   All surfaces slipped. On front, fascia: maeander type IIa in black on reserved ground with red outline around checkerboard. Cyma: reserved on black ground, anthemion with 11-petal palmette with elongated petals, central one diamond-shaped, others rounded and drooping with straight undersides. 5-petal lotus with red outlining 3-petal calyx. Palmette has pointed heart with red center. Tendril loop beneath. Soffit: traces of decoration in black, defined by broad red line for total width of ca. 00.07 m.
Material:   Coarse tan clay fired at core, with very coarse red mudstone inclusions (to 1cm.). Fine slip.
Munsell Color:   10YR 6.4 surface
Condition:   Complete profile. Complete profile of front face, face of crowning moulding broken away, surface chipped. Broken at back, either end.
