Description:   Marble relief with head and bearded man, probably semi-draped, who may have reclined on couch; head frontal but upper torso begins to turn to 3/4 left view. Cloak on his left shoulder extends over pilaster, and head flush with top. At left break, outline of 2nd figure, apparently female, advancing right, left arm extended with votive object, head also reaching architrave.
Writing:   inscribed. One line in Greek: [Z]EYXIPPWI
'To Zeuxippos". The dedication, engraved on epistyle above relief, may refer to legendary king of Sikyon mentioned by Pausanias (II, 6, 7); cf. Broneer 1942, Hesperia XI, p. 136-8
Material:   White fine-grained marble.
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving parts of original top, right side, and back; upper part of right pilaster and end of inscription. Upper torso of man, broken below pectorals.
Period:   3rd c. B.C.
Chronology:   late 3rd c. BC, based on lettering, according to Corinth 8.3
Findspot Description:   Found on site of Museum in April 1931.
