Description:   Body fragment of large aryballos.
Decoration:   Black paint, mostly flaked off, leaving gray stain, and applied-purple paint, fired purplish gray. Petals on shoulder, two circumf. bands below. Head of panther, 1., perhaps horns of bull, r., in front. Fine parallel lines on edges of cheeks, elaborately drawn eye sockets. Applied purple on cheeks and foreheads. F.o. of rosette with incised cross and elongated spot (?).
Material:   Hard, bright green clay.
Condition:   Fragment. Single fragment.
Period:   Middle Corinthian (595/590-570)
Findspot Description:   Potters' Quarter.
