Description:   Miniature amphora with high and narrow disc foot with flat underside, hemispherical lower body and concave upper body, narrow neck, flaring rim with rounded lip; Two vertial strap handles attached at rim and widest part of body. Shape similar to KV 1231 (Stillwell and Benson 1984, Corinth 15.3, cat. 1182), but narrower, taller neck and narrower base.
Decoration:   String marks on base. Black glaze overall (some misfired red)
Material:   Fine, very pale brown clay with rare fine inclusions and rare voids
Munsell Color:   10YR 8/3 (very pale brown)
Condition:   Complete or intact. Complete; black glaze flaking and poorly preserved.
Manufacture:   WM
Period:   4th c. B.C.
Chronology:   Middle or 3rd quarter of the 4th century (Stillwell 1948, Corinth 15.1, p. 43)

Findspot Description:   Potters' Quarter. Terracotta Factory, East Room, Deposit 6. (N.B. Benson identified as Deposit 5, but notebook and Corinth 15.1 indicate Deposit 5--K.Harrington, 30/6/2021)
