Description:   Type XXVII lamp with lightly concave bottom, surrounded by incised ring, deep flaring body, broad rim rising slightly to shallow disk with small fill hole to lower lt. Vertical pierced lug handle.
Decoration:   On rim: panels, impressed tongues. disk: gladiator fighting crane. Gladiator at lt., body frontal, legs to lt. head 3/4 rt., small round shield in lt. hand, rt. holds spear across body; attacked by large crane, who bites at gladiator's head, legs grasping man's thigh, wings outspread.
