Description:   Lamp with wide flaring body, bevel at juncture with broad flat rim, flat ring surrounding shallow disk, pierced vertical lug handle.
Decoration:   Rim: panels, ovules. disk: Hermes, of which have head turned 3/4 proper rt., wearing petasos, brim of which held by hands, small wings on crown; possibly chlamys tied around neck, drapery falling to proper rt. Features indistinct, retouching in hair, eyes, fingers.

Material:   Fine tan clay with dense admixture of sparkling inclusions or fine mica, white inclusions.

Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving ca. 1/4 lamp from body above base, to nearly center of disk, with handle. Disk: head, right arm, left hand of figure.
