Description:   Type XXVII lamp with wide flaring body, low sloping rim, disk set off by flat framing band, flat moulding. Pierced vertical lug handle.
Decoration:   Rim: ovules. disk: ring of impressed ovules; helmeted head of gladiator, direction unclear; holding sword above head, possibly shield in front, with clump of drapery or net ?
Material:   Fine pale pinkish-buff clay, scattered white and sparkling inclusions.
Munsell Color:   Yellower than 7.5YR 6/4
Condition:   Fragment. Two joining frgts., upper body, rim, small part of disk, ca. 1/5 circumference; handle preserved.
