Description:   Bowl, concave bottom with nipple, flaring ring foot with flat resting surface.
Decoration:   Slip and yellow glaze inside, brown glaze outside and yellow glaze in some spots on outside. Champlevé decoration on tondo: bird facing right with circle eye and rounded, fat body. Beak, tail and one foot missing. Behind neck are two undulating lines, possibly ribbon or wing. Two vertical lines preserved where tail starts. Beneath body is one leg curved forward and up towards head. Another line curved similarly just under leg, probably other leg.
Material:   Fine light red clay, rare large to very large rounded spherical white inclusions, few medium to very large rounded voids.
Munsell Color:   2.5 YR 6/6 (light red)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving bottom and whole foot. Chipped along resting surface and along outside edges. Inside large areas of tondo decoration missing.
