Description:   Handmade terracotta figurine of figure with long, cylindrical body standing stiffly, arms stretched out to side. Crown, hat, or fillet applied as separate piece of clay. Face crudely rendered by pinching; small indendation above right shoulder perhaps from fingernail. Feet simply rendered with slight pinch to distinguish them. Body of figure painted red. Bottom angled, making figurine unable to stand on its own. Perhaps originally built as part of larger dancing group with stand. See, e.g., MF-11478 vel sim.
Decoration:   Red paint on body.
Material:   Fine reddish yellow clay with common small to medium rounded spherical dark inclusions
Munsell Color:   5YR 7/6 (reddish yellow)
Condition:   Missing parts. Single frgt., missing bottom half of arms, part of feet. Traces of red paint on body of figure.
Period:   Archaic (7th-6th c.)
Chronology:   or early classical, based on comparanda.
