Description:   Terracotta solid handmade group of four dancers moving in circle with arms joined around flutist standing in center. Figures all have flat strip of clay applied around front of head as polos and clay overfold from back to front as head. Each dancer has semi-circular face, broad short neck, flattened chest, long flat strips as arms join dancers, upper body tilted outward slightly, cylindrical body flaring as attaches to base. Flute player has additional clay strip over face (mouth?) covering edge of two clay rolls of double flute jutting out , flat strips of arms attached at shoulder stretch forward with rounded hands grasping flutes, and cylindrical body flaring as attaches almost seamlessly to base. Flat circular base, slightly concave underneath central figure, with pared and smoothed edge. Fingerprints over whole piece. Similar in size and style to KT2-11 (Corinth XV.2 Class II p. 43 no. 8 pl. 4) and KT2-7, 8, 9, 10 (Corinth XV.2 Class II p. 43 no. 4-7 pl. 4).

Material:   Fine pink clay with light red brown core with few fine sparkling, rare large spherical angular red, and rare medium to very large tabular angular white inclusions and rare very large tabular angular voids
Munsell Color:   Surface: 7.5YR 8/3 (pink), Core: 5YR 6/3 (light red brown)
Condition:   Missing parts. Several joining pieces (arm piece joined from Lot 864 in 2007) missing one dancer with part of her arms and the joining arms of another pair of dancers. Chips missing on top of flutist's head and base. Traces of white slip.
